今天给一病人做手术，臂丛麻醉，是在病人清醒的时候手术。我忙着给病人清创，缝合，麻醉护士为了分散病人的注意力，和病人聊天，我也听着。
病人说是帮他父亲干活受伤的，电动砂轮切割什么，不小心一下子切到手了，伤口还挺深，伤到了肌腱和神经。他说他常干这活儿，几十年了，一把老手，就这么一不小心，伤得这么重！
他的工作就是干这个的，可他父亲却是科学家，聪明，但动手能力不行，所以这类修理的话儿，都是他去帮忙。子不从父，这在英国大概很普遍，见多不怪，但还是有点可惜。
说到术后的护理，照顾，就聊到家里人。他离婚很久，有两个成年的孩子。虽然在孩子小时候承担了抚养的责任，可孩子一直随母亲，成年后就不和他来往，已经多年不联系了，都不知道现在的状况。
唏嘘之余，感慨万千。
